Only 3 Percent of State Supreme Court Justices in U.S. Are Latino

Just 10 out of 326, or 3 percent, of state Supreme Court justices across the country are Latino, even though Latinos make up 16 percent of the U.S. population, according to a Fox New analysis. Advocates say diversity on the bench is important to ensure different perspectives are taken into account during deliberations and have raised concerns about the dearth of Latino justices, especially in the south.
