They are joined by DuPont Company at the $50,000 level; and Latham & Watkins LLP, McGuireWoods, Target Corporation, McDermott Will Emery, Ogletree Deakins and the Association of Corporate Counsel at the $25,000 level. Held at the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, the Diversity Honors Gala will honor those who have made outstanding contributions to diversity in the legal field. It will begin with an awards program in the Starr Theater that combines honors with entertainment, followed by an elegant VIP Dinner Reception in Alice Tully Hall. Last year’s gala sold out with 1,200 attendees, and this year’s ticket sales are on track to do the same.
The gala’s award program will celebrate companies and individuals that have helped shape diversity and inclusion efforts in the legal industry. Dennis W. Archer, who served as president of the American Bar Association and mayor of Detroit, will receive the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award. Five companies will be honored as Employers of Choice: DHL, Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company, Chevron Corporation, H.J. Heinz Company and Morgan Stanley.
