Hispanic Bar Association Creates International Business Law Section

The Hispanic National Bar Association (HNBA) has established a Section devoted to International Business Law. The new Section will be chaired by HNBA President of Region 1, Salomon Chiquiar-Rabinovich, of the Boston-based law firm Seyfarth Shaw.

The International Business Law Section was created to meet goals outlined in Mexico City during a roundtable dialogue. Lawyers from the United States, Latin America and Europe discussed important international business legal issues and the best ways to address them.

HNBA National President Victor Marquez said those goals included: Exchanging best practices on legal compliance and corporate social responsibility; collaborating with the leaders of the bar associations throughout Spain, Portugal and Latin America; and providing ample opportunities for networking among a distinguished group of Hispanic American Legal elite from multinational companies, law firms, academia, and government; as well as supporting the continuing legal education on timely and relevant international issues.

The HNBA hopes the new Section will benefit everyone involved in international business law.
