Has the pandemic permanently changed the labor market? Many have suggested that for the first time in decades the employee has all the leverage; resulting in significant challenges when it comes to finding and keeping talent. In this new environment, companies need to know how to modify and/or change their approach to recruiting, developing and retaining talent to be competitive.
Join us for the second webinar in our series on March 8 at 12pm ET/9am PT led by moderators Arent Fox Labor and Employment Partner Darrell Gay and Jay Jamrog, Co-Founder and Futurist, i4cp, who will be joined by special guests Oris Stuart, Executive Vice President, Chief People & Inclusion Officer, National Basketball Association, Reginald Odom, Senior Vice President, Chief People Officer, HSS | Hospital for Special Surgery and Etienne Vazquez, Head of Entry Level Business Recruitment, Americas, Bloomberg, LP.
We will discuss:
- What are some of the more innovative approaches to find talent?
- Are companies re-evaluating their brand, positions descriptions and job requirements to find talent?
- How are companies dealing with workplace displacement?
- Are companies incorporating a flexible work schedule or other incentives to hire and retain employees?
- How does recruiting for blue collar and white-collar workers differ?
- What are some of the DE&I challenges in this environment?

We are proud to announce that MCCA has partnered with the Equilar Diversity Network (EDN) to launch a data campaign to aggregate additional measures of diversity, specifically race/ethnicity. We’d like to invite MCCA members to participate in this important campaign, and encourage you to ask your executive and board member colleagues to do the same, to increase transparency around ethnic representation on corporate boards and the C-suite.
Members can claim their profiles on Equilar’s BoardEdge platform, which hosts more than 500,000 executive and board member profiles for board search opportunities. By self-selecting ethnicity, participants are supporting a data-driven approach to increase board diversity while also making profiles more accessible when diverse candidates are searched.
In partnership with Equilar, we’ll be releasing a report this fall on our progress. We hope you take a moment to participate, and we look forward to continuing our important work together.
